A little help with your lights.
Contact helloonlight@gmail.com for help or feedback.
Before connecting
onlight requires macOS 15 or later, one Hue Bridge with current firmware, and lights already set up in the Hue app. Your Mac and Bridge must be on the same local network. Bluetooth-only bulbs without a Bridge are not supported.
Can’t find the Bridge?
Check power and Ethernet, then allow onlight in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network. Guest Wi-Fi or a VPN can prevent local discovery. Use Connection help or Enter IP address in setup if discovery fails. Press the Bridge’s physical button when prompted to authorize pairing.
Replacing your Bridge
Choose Reset connection… from onlight’s menu. Confirm, then pair again. This clears only this Mac’s saved connection; it does not remove rooms or lights from the Hue app. You can also find this action in connection help after a failed connection.
Brightness and colour
Click a light’s name for brightness and supported colour controls. Turn it on first. Hover over its bulb icon and scroll horizontally to dim or brighten it. White-only and dimmable-only bulbs show only the controls they support.
Reporting a problem
Include your onlight version, macOS version, what happened and how to reproduce it. View details lets you review, copy, save or email a redacted error report. Please don’t send Bridge keys or passwords. Reports are never sent automatically.
